If
elected, how do you plan on making your
mark as the newest member of the Clifton
City Council?
I
am not out to make a mark as the newest
member, I am looking forward to working
with Council members as a team for progress
and results. By listening more and talking
less, I hope you will see and feel a difference
within the first two meetings. I will
work hard to complete policy writing in
two years. I will continue walking, listening,
and learning issues from residents door-to-door.
My focus will always be on ACTION and
RESULTS.
Besides
Board of Education issues, what do you
see as the most pressing issue facing
the City of Clifton and what solution
do you propose?
Our
priority must be the safety and security
of all our residents. From our children
to our seniors, we must plan, review,
and coordinate all emergency and response
procedures. This would include our homes,
schools, senior housing areas, parks,
gas stations and other industrial locations.
A combination of routine inspections,
practice drills and studies of traffic
congestion, alternate routes and other
Fire-Police studies.
What
is your opinion on resident's right to
speak at public portions of council meetings?
Should there be restrictions or limitations
on their comments?
At
council meetings, the public portion is
for the residents...they have the floor
and the mike...they paid for both of them!
No restrictions or limitations on comments.
What is your opinion on Clifton's
current form of government and how do
you feel about recent moves by an outside
interest to finance a campaign to change
Clifton's form of government?
Clifton's
current form of government is the best!
Everyone puts party aside and keeps CLIFTON
FIRST. It is disgraceful that outsiders
even attempt to take over and dictate
over our free will and independence. We
must be alert and stand unified against
any such action or group.
